His word is powerful and alive!

 Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

To show how powerful the word of the Lord is, look at everything all around us, even the sky and the stars, everything. God created everything by His word, He spoke a word and everything came into existence (Genesis 1); how awesome is that it shows that His word is alive and powerful! His word continues to be active and powerful in our lives. We see evidence of this in the bible stories, where God spoke a word and the Red Sea parted for example. He spoke a word and the dead came back to life!

We connect ourselves to God through His word. In the bible, which reveals to us who God is, who we are in Him, what God's plans are, what pleases God and what makes Him angry. We learn His desires and purposes for our lives, in His word. His word gives us protection, healing, victory, provision and everything we need. Just learning the power of His word, makes us powerful as well, as we use the same words, confessing them and situations changes! I'm not sure about you, but I've also seen the power of speaking God's word; in different circumstances. Speaking healing (Isaiah 53:3-5) when there's sickness. Speaking protection (Isaiah 54:17) when there's a warfare raging. Speaking life into a dead situation that eventually gives-in to God's powerful word. God's word makes all the difference, it is able to turn a situation around, that seems dire, but because all things are possible with Him (Luke 1:37), we see things turn around.

I pray we see the advantage we have in life, with God. That we surrender our thoughts and ways to Him, and accept His thoughts and ways as His are higher and wilder (Isaiah 55:8). That we allow Him to accomplish His plans in and through our lives; all it takes, is just a word and all shall be.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
