Life in abundance is yours...

 John 10:10 (NIV)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

This verse shows us the contrast between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. The devil only came to mess people's lives, by destroying, stealing from and even killing them. The devil came to cause destruction. Whilst Jesus is clear that He came to give us life and life more abundantly! Life in abundance is a balanced life that doesn't include lack, oppression, chains or "just getting-by". He came to give us a fruitful life, blessed life and impactful life. Life full of purpose, joy, peace, laughter and more. Life that knows no lack!

This life is accessible to us, as children of God. God wants to show His glory through His children which includes you and I. He wants His children to live a life that displays His goodness. Let us allow God to prepare us for this life that Jesus died to give us; by not fighting the process, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). When He allows us to go through "Egypt" or the wilderness, He is building certain characters in us and also drawing us closely to Him, so that we rely on Him. This will make it easier when He then puts us in the promised land, that we would be certain on who brought us there, that it wasn't our doing but His hand upon us. So, trust His plans and ask for His grace to hold on, whilst in the whilst you go through different seasons of life, so that you may also see your promised land.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
