Characteristics of love...

 1 Corinthians 13:7

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Everything in the kingdom of God, is a stretch, and this is one of them. God's love never gives up on us, never loses faith and is always hopeful; it endures through every circumstance. This is a command for us as well, to have this kind of love. One that is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance. It is expected that as humans, we may come short on some of these, but the grace of God is there to pick us up and get is back in line. So long as we see where we've gone wrong, repent and do better. That is the principle that Jesus displayed in His walk here on earth, for those that have gone astray to bring them to realization where they were wrong, forgive and get them to sin no more.

Love is one of the fruits of the Spirit, according to Galatians 5:22-23, meaning when you have the Holy Spirit, it will be evident in your ways/character where love is displayed. Therefore, we should be asking the Holy Spirit to help us to exhibit this kind of love, should we be struggling in this area, so that we may be aligned with the kingdom of God. At the kids ministry today, the memory verse was 1 John 3:18 that says: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." Thus, God wants us not only to show love through words but also by actions. Jesus did so many miracles, healing the sick, raising the dead, feeding people and so much more, this displaying His love for all. We need to do the same...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
