Don't accept condemnation from the world and also not from yourself!

 John 3:17

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

This is an explanation from God, on why He sent His Son. He didn't send Him to condemn us, find fault and make us feel guilty, but He sent His Son to save us! Save us from the world, save us from ourselves. If God did this for us, why then do we allow the world to condemn us? Also, most importantly, if God doesn't condemn us, why do we then condemn ourselves? This seems the person who has every right to condemn us, which is God, doesn't. Instead, we allow the world and ourselves to condemn us. Which is wrong.

This verse comes after the famous verse that reminds us, how much God loves us. John 3:16 that says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." God loves us so much. Why can't we love ourselves? We need to realize that the only person who wants us to feel ashamed, small and guilty, is the devil. The devil would want us to remember all our mistakes and failures, blame ourselves and kept asking ourselves "why" until we are so depressed and forget who we are. The trick of the devil is to make us see ourselves as failures, that we can never do anything right or that we can never amount to anything in life. Which is a big lie! We need to come out of agreement with the devil about this and come in agreement with God, that even though we made mistakes, that doesn't change who we are, or who God created us to be. We can do better and achieve great things in life, because we are the children of the Most High. The shame and guilt will melt away, as it should and we would focus more on positive things about ourselves and others. We won't be hard on ourselves and others. We'll forgive easily as God expects us to. Don't put yourself in prison, receive the freedom that Jesus died for on the cross.
