Build your life on a solid foundation!

 Matthew 7:24

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

This is so important. When you consider this example, where a man that is considered wise builds his house on a rock, where the storm may come but the house will remain standing due to its strong foundation. But if a house is built on sand, where the foundation is loose and shaky, the storm will destroy it. Similar with us, if we build our lives on God, who is our rock and secures our lives, as a strong foundation, we shall never be consumed or destroyed when the storms of lives try to take us out; we will still stand because of Him and His promises, and His protection. However, if our lives are not built on His word, we will be vulnerable to any conditions that threatens our lives.

So, the word that we hear, may we never take it for granted, as it is building us and connecting us with our Father. In this case, we will be well equipped when the storm hits, and we will have the full armor of God and God Himself will be our Protector. Revelations 3:20 says: "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." God is giving us this invitation, for us to open our hearts for Him, so that He can be our Lord. Let us take this opportunity, whilst there's still time and ensure you build your life on the Rock, a firm foundation!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
