Credit goes to our Protector, for our peaceful sleep...

 Psalm 4:8

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.

God our Protector, gives us the ability to lie down and sleep, with no fear of any incident happening to us. Not claiming to have stiff security systems, watch dogs or guards, but putting our faith in Him to protect us as He has promised. Security guards may fall asleep and fail us, the system may become faulty and fail us, the dogs may be poisoned and fail us but the Lord will never fail us, which is why we put our trust in Him. Psalm 121:4 says: "Indeed, He who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps." Our heavenly Father does not slumber or fall asleep, He is watching over us the entire time, no matter where we are.

This kind of protection, I bear witness to it, where attempts were made but the weapon did not succeed (Isaiah 54:17). In this case, you don't take the glory for yourself or the physical device, but you recognize the grace of God to provide cover. Psalm 91:11-12 tells us that God has assigned His angels to guard us at all times; this is comforting and it is worthy of our praise. We need to thank the Lord for our peace and actually our peaceful sleep, because it is Him who makes it possible.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
