Everything belongs to the Lord!

 Psalm 24:1

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him.

This is a great reminder, that everything belongs to the Lord. He is the creator of earth and of heaven. Everything we see, everything we are and even what we don't see but know of, all belongs to the Lord. Sometimes we approach things as though we are the owner, but in actual fact, those too, belong to the Lord. Genesis 1 gives us the account of how God created everything, how everything was formed, and it was by His word. Humans are an exception as He took an extra effort and created the first man and woman by His hands, quite intimate. This proves why God has such affection for us, that even when through sin (from the garden of Eden), He still longed to have a close relationship with us, that He made a plan to send His Son to make amends. How gracious!

One may ask how then did God continue building on this earth, as now there's human involvement in formulation and development of many things? It is precisely that, He is in such a close relationship that He achieves His will through us. He plans, ideas and strategies, that when followed, they yield amazing things. Which is why we cannot take credit for everything, God behind the scene orchestrates everything and we execute (when we are in obedience). We should be grateful for such a relationship, where we can do all things. Everything belongs to the Lord. Dream big, He's got control!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
