You reap what you sow...

 2 Corinthians 9:6

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

This is one of the principles in the kingdom of God, that directly links to the farmer scenario, where in that which you sow little, you will reap only a little bit of harvest. It has a direct correlation. This is applicable to our lives as well. What you give, is what you will receive in return. Galatians 6:7-8 says: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." This can relate to what you pay attention to. If your focus is only on money, for yourself, being greedy and not looking out for others, that's what you will reap. If you don't give, you will not receive a harvest. Remember the bible verse that said blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives (Acts 20:35), that's exactly it!

God is watching everything, whether we expect Him to keep giving us when we don't give to others, or if we are cheerful givers (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). Obviously, God wants us to lean more to the latter. This verse encourages us to give with a cheerful heart, not complaining and grumbling, but give with a heart that is pleased. His blessing will take that into account.  In fact, Jesus as our model (Whom we are expected to walk on His footsteps) indeed was a giver whilst He was still on earth, a cheerful giver at it. In fact, He even gave His life for us! Amazing! Now look where He is, seated in the heavenly realms on the right-hand side with our Father! May this encourage us to be cheerful givers and sow as much as we can, because we can depend on God that His rewards will be way more...
