You are the temple of the Lord!

 1 Corinthians 3:16

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

If we can keep this knowledge at the forefront of our minds, and remember it every time, we would live and do better. We would take better care of ourselves and ensure we stay healthy and in order. God has indicated to us that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us, our bodies are His temple! That is not something to be taken lightly. It means, God has entrusted us to host Him in our bodies and when you think of how mighty, majestic, powerful, awesome and great God is, you feel honoured that He would do something like that for us. 

Therefore, let us embrace greatness that lives in us, as described in 1 John 4:4 that "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." This refers to the Holy Spirit, which means greatness lives in us! That is powerful! Let us acknowledge this wonderful fact and let us show gratitude for Him living is us, by taking better care of ourselves. Including watching our language, watch what we eat and drink, ensure our bodies stay healthy and so forth. This links to one of the old times say that Cleanliness is Godliness...".

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
