Need peace, keep your eyes fixed on the Lord!

 Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!

The promise of the Lord, is that those who keep their eyes fixed on Him, will keep in perfect peace. This is so true, because when you keep your eyes on the Lord, you let go of any distractions and things that can cause fear in your heart and cause you to miss what the Lord is saying to you. I'm reminded of an analogy that made perfect sense when I heard it a while back. That God instructed Noah to build an ark, which didn't have windows on the sides to see the terrible things that would happen to the people that disobeyed God, when they drowned and lose their lives. But there was an opening at the top. Thus, forcing Noah to lookup when needing answers and help. Basically, he had to keep his eyes fixed on the Lord to have inner peace.

It is the same with us, we need to keep our eyes on Him, as He is our Creator, He has our lives in His hand. He knows our future and He's the one who gave us the purpose for our lives. We can't be asking for directions from fellow humans as they may lead us astray, or they may delay us as they try figure things out. Or worse, they may discourage us from that which the Lord has instructed us, and we end up losing our way. Therefore, to have complete peace, keep your eyes on the Lord. He will take care of your storms of life and will provide guidance on the way forward. God has been calling on me to stay focused on my assignment, I tried my best and all of a sudden, I'm seeing my problems vanish. Which means, as we embark on that which God has instructed us to, He deals with our issues and provide that which we need (Matthew 6:33). Perfect partnership with the Lord! Try it...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
