Love as God has loved you!

 John 15:12

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

This is a commandment that we are given, to love one another. This applies to everyone, people you know and those you don't. People you like and those you don't. This is because God is love (1 John 4) and it is in His character that He loves so much. Hence, as His children, He needs us to display the same love He extends to us, to others, so that they may know that we belong to Him and are His children.

It may not be easy to love strangers, people that are mean and rude, but only through the Holy Spirit who lives in us (1 John 4:4), who is able to help us with this task. Like Matthew 7:7 says, ask and it shall be given to you. If loving those that are difficult in your life is a problem, then ask God to help you to do so, so that from your side, you do as God says and not return evil with evil.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
