You are living in the light, you are the light of the world!

 1 John 1:7

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.

We are the children of light! God's kingdom is the kingdom of light! With the Holy Spirit living in us, we are surely living in the light, where His light illuminates in and through us, wherever we are. This is confirmed in the bible in Matthew 5:14-15 that says: "“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house." This shows that God sees you as His light in the world, to bring light to the world that is dark. When you look at how people treat each other, how corrupt, greedy, selfish and inconsiderate they are, you get to realize that indeed people are living in the dark. There's no way they can behave the way they do, if they were in the kingdom of light. Therefore, God has appointed you to bring light, to bring life in your space; to bring light in the spaces where people are operating in total darkness.

I like what the verse further says that we have been cleaned off our sins by the blood of Jesus, which is why we have found light! When you are still burdened by sin, guilt and shame, you are still operating in the dark, but once you come into fellowship with Jesus in your heart, your life gets transformed inside out and it starts reflecting Jesus in and around you. This is a true honour that we should embrace, as our Father has entrusted us with His light, to represent Him here on earth. Let us walk boldly, remembering Whose we are!
