Choose the narrow gate to heaven!

 Matthew 7:13-14

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

This is the truth about life. Only through a narrow gate, that we can enter the kingdom of God. This verse tells us that the gate to hell, is wide and open, most people choose it; whilst the gate to heaven, the kingdom of God, is narrow and only a few choose it. This is because with the gate to hell, everything goes, people do as they please, they do whatever they like, whether it is right or wrong, that does not matter. Whilst, to remain in the kingdom of God, you basically have to submit your life to your Creator, and give Him the right of way when it comes to your life. This is when you surrender your will and wishes for His, because you understand that He knows better and as our Creator, we understand that He has our best interest at heart, that our future is secured with Him (Jeremiah 29:11). This is not easy, it takes discipline, it takes patience, waiting on the Lord to act, it takes faith, believing in the unknown, the things you have not seen, but trusting His word. It takes a lot to live that kind of a life.

However, the benefits are just as massive, if not more. Your life becomes secured and rooted on a firm foundation, it is not shaky and dependent on the environment we are in, where you are at the mercy of the economy, the people that you need to suck up to etc. But you know if God said He will provide, then that's what He will do. If He said I'm your Healer, then you know you need not have to fear, but you can rest on Him to bring healing to you (Isaiah 53:5).

Therefore, with the choice that we have been given, may I urge you to choose life, not just here on earth, but secure your future too, and be certain that after death, you will be in heaven and that you shall not die no more. Allow yourself and your life to be guided by the Lord and find peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). God bless you.
