Our hope is in the Lord...

 Psalm 39:7

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in You.

The Lord is dependable, we can put our trust in Him as He is faithful. This is where we put our hope, in Christ Jesus whom we know is the same yesterday, today and forever more, as declared in the book of Hebrews 13:8. So, if we know that God is the same and will never go back on His word (Numbers 23:19), then we can hold on to His word and trust that it shall be as He said. Thus, we remember what God said and did for us, as reference for the future. Him sending His one and only Beloved Son to the cross to die for us because of His love for us, then we can trust that His love for us will never change, He will always love us. In this case, when we are faced with difficulties, it doesn't cross our minds that God could be the one sending bad things to us, because of His love for us. But we recognize that the devil could be sending those things and God allowed them to happen. It is for that reason that we would hold on to our hope in Him that He will come through for us, in fact, in Romans 8:28 He said: "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." Therefore, whatever bad has reached us, God will turn it around to work for our good.

What a powerful God we serve, He knows and sees everything! He is in charge of everything and all we can do, is trust Him. He already confirmed that He will never leave nor forsake us, therefore, whatever challenge, it means God will help us through and work everything out to work in our favour. In this case, we need to take His word for it and not to worry but take everything in prayer with thanksgiving and make our issues known to Him (Philippians 4:6-7). Let us continue putting our hope in Him, He is dependable...
