Use the authority God gave you to set them free...

 2 Corinthians 10:5

We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

Jesus has given us the authority to trample over scorpions and snakes as indicated in the book of Luke 10:19 that says: "Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you." This shows that we have the authority to pray for each other, to be set free from the bondages that keeps people from knowing Christ, including sin, shame, guilt, addictions etc. However, by the power of the name of Jesus, we have the authority to pray freedom for them to be set free. We do this so that their eyes may be opened to see the love of Christ, His presence and mercy for them. When people don't realize that God is ready and waiting to receive and embrace them, like in the story of the prodigal son, they are bound to remain and stay away due to shame and thinking that God will reject them.

Therefore, let us show God's love by intervening by a simple prayer and let us declare and decree that they are set free, that we bind the rebellious thoughts that have kept them and teach them to obey Christ. By so doing, we are allowing God to transform them and change their mindset, in order to let go of the past and embrace the reality of Christ being for them, and not against them. May this be a reality for you too, should you be struggling with bondage and wrong thoughts.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
