Accept discipline, it leads to the pathway to life.

 Proverbs 10:17

People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.

Discipline is part of life. Like earthly parents, who discipline their children when they've done something wrong, or are headed in the wrong direction, they get disciplined to ensure that they don't go astray. It is the same with the Lord, who wants to see us walking on the right path. This means when He sees that we are diverting and moving away from the right path, He would show us in order to bring us back on the right path. In this verse we learn that when we accept being corrected and molded by God and through His people on earth, we get to be on the pathway to life. Of which that's what we desire. But when we don't listen and ignore the correction, we will be led astray.

Therefore, it is in our best interest to be open to discipline and heed the call. When we are given guidance and instructions to improve, let us humble ourselves and allow them to shape us. It is leading us to the pathway of life!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
