Let the peace of God rule in your heart...

 Colossians 3:15

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

As the body of Christ, we are called to have peace in our hearts. This is by no means implying that we will have peace because there are no storms, but it means even during the storms, we will still have our peace in our hearts. This may seem contradictory, but this links with the bible verse in the book of Philippians 4:6-7 that says: "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." This is a mouthful, precisely what the verse for today is talking about. In order to have peace in your heart, you must not worry, instead take everything in prayer to God and tell Him everything and also be thankful. By so doing, you will be filled with peace of God as you would've surrendered to Him.

May the peace of God rest upon you, may He reveal His love and kindness for you, so that you can find comfort in surrendering to Him to take care of all your worries. God says: do not worry! He knows best, just believe and receive His peace!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
