Some lessons to please the Lord...

 Colossians 3:16

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

Three critical lessons this verse is teaching us. One, to let the message about Christ fill our lives. This is only possible if we have heard the message, the good news about what Christ has done for us. Also, most importantly, to believe this message, which will fill our lives as we are now convinced. Secondly, to teach and counsel others. The Lord has given us His grace and mercy to have heard about this good news, now that we have received it and live it, we need to also open others' eyes as well, so that they can find the gift of salvation as well. Thirdly, to have a cheerful heart, sing praises to the Lord for He is good. Praise and thank Him for all that He is done. Thank Him for His faithfulness. This will lead us to having a grateful heart and lifestyle, which pleases the Lord, as opposed to having a complaining attitude.

Therefore, let us commit ourselves to trying, that we would do our best to live out the good thing we have received. To also share this good thing with others, so that their lives may be saved as well. Lastly to make time to sing spiritual songs to the Lord, thus praising and worshipping Him as He deserves it all. Let us also always look for positives in every situation, no matter how bad. If you can't find one, just remain hopeful that the Lord will turn things around.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
