Trials and sorrows may come, but Jesus has overcome!

 John 16:33

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Jesus warned us well in advance, that in life, we will have trials and tribulations, and sorrows. However, He comforted us that those trials will not overpower us, we will emerge victorious from them because of the victory He has obtained for us! He says He has overcome the world, meaning He defeated everything, and it is done. This means, whatever we may face, we must not be fearful that it will overpower us, because He is on our side and He died on the cross for our regard, we have victory already.

Be comforted, where you may be facing challenges, know that you are not alone, your brothers and sisters in Christ are also facing similar (different phases/season and different battles). But most importantly, know that God is with you. Just like He was with Daniel in the lion's den, or the three teenagers in the fiery furnace, in the book of Daniel, we will also not be harmed by what we go through. We will not even smell of smoke from the fire we've been through. Romans 8:31 reminds us that if God be for us, who can be against us? Keep that in mind and hold on to Christ our Saviour!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
