Let us rejoice, for God is with us!

 Isaiah 7:14

All right then, the Lord Himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a Son and will call Him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

This time of the year is about remembering the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. When we follow His conception and birth, we realize that indeed He is a miracle to humankind. Firstly, for a young virgin to have fallen pregnant through the Holy Spirit, that on its own is a miracle. God was giving us signs that He was not just ordinary but above and beyond. Now that we know what we know, about His life, His journey and what He accomplished in the life that He was with us here on earth, we have no choice but to be in awe and praise the Lord for being such a great Orchestrator. He is faithful, loving and an amazing Father to us!

Let us use this time of the year to recall exactly what God has done for us, embrace the gift that the Lord has given us and let us worship Him! We are saved, we are alive and have the Lord on our side. That is worth celebrating and I'm wishing you a celebratory time, with Jesus at the centre. But most importantly, let us embrace the fact that He is Immanuel- God with us! That makes all the difference...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
