Salvation is a gift from God, receive it...

 Ephesians 2:8-9

God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Salvation indeed is not something we earned by our works, that we can boast about, but it is a gift from God to us. Like the bible says, whilst we were sinners, Jesus died for our sins to receive this salvation, hence we did not earn it, it was a blessing given by God, way before we even saw the light. A heavy price was paid for our salvation, which is why we must not dare take it for granted, somebody experienced deep pain and died for us. Noting that we can never repay or thank Him enough, all we can do is recognize it and appreciate it. God did it for us because He loves us.

My plea to you, is that don't make a mistake of not receiving this beautiful gift that God is giving us, which is salvation through Christ. God can and He did make a way for this to happen, but He can't force us to receive this beautiful gift, it is up to us to welcome it. Make sure that in somewhere in your lifetime, you receive Him as your Lord and Saviour, we are nothing without Him. Try Him and see your life transform from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18)...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
