Where does your help come from?

 Psalm 121:2

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!

How true and powerful this verse is, that reminds and encourages us to remember where our help comes from. In life, we are guaranteed to face setbacks, challenges that can put us off, however, what is more important is knowing where to run to, during that time. We can go to any person, but that does not guarantee that we will find a lasting and good solution. 

This verse makes a critical reference that gives us confidence on the Source of our help. God is not ordinary, but we are reminded of His sovereignty, to whom nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37) as demonstrated by His mighty acts. God knows our hearts and He is able to even put a desires in our hearts that when we pay attention, we find ourselves exactly where we needed to be. And when you trace your steps, you realize that the obstacles you encountered, actually fueled you to look for better (Romans 8:28). I am humbled to testify that the setbacks I faced, made me realize that my childhood dream was still there (it just needed an Ezekiel 37). I just needed to be brave enough to step into it. All credit to Almighty who orchestrated everything...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
