Let us spread the good news!

 Mark 16:15

And then He told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.

Wow, how amazing when God knits things together, I was sharing this with my Kids Ministry two weeks ago, and we touched on it briefly yesterday. This was a command from the Lord, for us to go to the world and tell everyone about the Good News! One may ask, what is the good news? It's simple, the good news is that God loved us so much, that He sent His beloved Son to die for our sins, so that we may be saved! Furthermore, His Son was crucified, died a painful death for us, but the good news is that He rose after three days, He conquered the grave, He conquered darkness. Our king is alive and seated in heaven on the right-hand of our Father, interceding for us! That is the good news! In the verse for today, Jesus is now commanding us, not to keep such good news to ourselves but to spread the news to others so that they too, can be saved and have access to our Father, the love He has and life in eternity (most importantly)!

One may say that is the job for pastors, but not necessarily. They play a key part in spreading this good news; but we too, have been saved and we have felt the love of God, so through our testimony, of what God has done in our lives, we have the power to convince others that indeed God is the one, He is alive and He is above everything. So, I would like to encourage you to spread the news in your world, wish the people around you well by pointing them to the cross. We are nothing without Jesus, let them also find hope in Him!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
