His promise not to be angry with us...

 Isaiah 54:9-10 

“To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you."

God made a promise to Noah, after the destruction from the greatest flood ever. He promised not to destroy the living things in that manner, He even sealed the promise with a rainbow! Whenever we see the rainbow, we are reminded of that promise; and since that day, God has kept His promise, earth has never been overcame by a flood, ever. 

With that in mind, God is making you and I a promise that He will never be angry at us, that His unfailing love for us, will never be shaken or removed. How wonderful is that! This means we will have His love for as long as we live (and in eternity). May we never let the enemy lie to us, that God is angry at us, that He is punishing us (when we go through a tough time), always remember this promise. Look at that suffering with a different perspective, that it is not coming from God, that God might have allowed it for a particular reason but it's not from Him. In any case, God has promised us in Romans 8:28 that He will work ALL things for our good. Even the bad thing that the enemy throws at us, God will turn it around for our GOOD! This on its own, gives us a peace of mind, that we are covered, no matter what. He is for us and will always love us; End of story. Anyone who says otherwise, it's a lie.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
