He's doing a new thing...

 Isaiah 43:18-19 

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

God is saying forget the former things, do not dwell on the things of the past. Our past could be full of scars, hurt, disappointments, shortfall, discouragement, being belittled, being told we not good enough, useless etc. This is not what God sees of you. God says you are made in His image (Genesis 1:27),  you have His power as the One who lives in you, is greater that the devil in the world (1 John 4:4), God further says you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Therefore, forget what the world told you, you are or are not, and believe what God says about you. 

This verse tells us that there's a great future ahead. God is busy making a new thing about your life. Just like He was able to make a way in the wilderness for the children of Israel, God is also making a way for you, in your wilderness. Believe it, receive it!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
