Peace in the storm
John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Jesus warned us in advance, that life will have its life challenges, however, we must not be consumed by these troubles. He gave us His peace so that even though there may be trouble all around us, we must still have peace. Peace that is reassuring that it will be ok. That reassures us that regardless of what may be happening, He will be with us in that trouble and bring victory in the end. I'm reminded of the story of Daniel, when he was accused and unfairly thrown into the lion's den. That was some serious trouble, anything could've happened, but God was with him and the lions never touched him. Which is true that God will shut the lion's mouth for us!
May the grace of God be with you, no matter the storm you may be facing; remember Jesus was forsaken by His Father on the cross, so that we may never be forsaken, no matter what. God promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Because Jesus overcame the world, by rising from dead after being crucified, there's nothing He cannot do for you. We are told to run TO him when we face trouble, not away from Him (doubting if He's there or what). Hold on to His promises and He will see you through.
