You are called to use your freedom to serve...

 Galatians 5:13

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Jesus died on the cross for us to be free, to live a life of freedom; not bound by sin, condemnation and oppression. We are called to recognize this freedom and use it to serve one another. This gives us confidence to be a blessing to others, knowing that we are free to do so, that it is within the will of the Lord. Jesus taught His disciples a principle of serving one another (John 13:2-17).

However, we are cautioned not to use this freedom for our own sinful nature, where we now say we are free to do as we please. This freedom is within the confines of what is pleasing to the Lord. People can't claim freedom and use it to steal from others, boast and look down on others (just as example). No. This freedom was paid for by the blood, that on its own gives us responsibility to act accordingly.

Therefore, embrace your freedom, recognizing that it is a gift from God, to benefit you and those around you. God is urging us to use it wisely and to be a blessing to others.
