Endure patiently and you will be rewarded...

 James 1:12

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

Wow, there is a crown of life waiting for us, on the other end of the trials we go through! This message seeks to strengthen us in the Lord, so that we don't give-in and give-up, but to embrace the process that is full of trials and tribulations. It seeks to remind us that life is not meant to just be smooth sailing, but to have some hiccups that are meant to teach and strengthen us. What I've learned, is that with God, He teaches and strengthens us by practice. Not only by word, but by also going through something in order to benefit on the other end. Like for example, if you need strength, He'll put you through a challenging situation, where the resultant will be you having renewed strength after having gone through a difficulty. This verse tells us that these trials are giving us endurance.

From our side, all we can do, is press in and go forth. Not to give up because the heat is now on, but to persevere, knowing that we have a reward at the end. What I like is that God promised never to test us beyond our strength or ability (1 Corinthians 10:13), He knows our limits. So, whatever you may be going through, God trusts that you can handle it and will pass the test with flying colours. This will lead to your crown of life. Hold on...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
