We wrestle against spiritual forces of darkness
Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
The moment you came in agreement, and you acknowledge Christ is Lord, that's when you became enemy number 1 to the devil. Leaving the kingdom of darkness and entering the kingdom of God, has made you an enemy; because through you, people will be saved, your family will be saved, people will get to realize the kind of a Father God truly is. Through you, generational curses will be broken, healing will be activated, victory is guaranteed. God's will and purposes will be fulfilled. This doesn't sit well with the enemy and hence the attack to destruct, kill or destroy you (John 10:10). Which is why it is important to know that the enemy will use other people and circumstances to get to you. You may be angry at people who do wrong to you, which is as a result of the enemy's plot, that involved using those people. Like God will use people to bless you, the enemy will also use people to destroy you. The enemy might send sickness to you, thus it is good to realize that it is a plot from the enemy camp. No weapon formed against you that shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17)
Therefore, we do not use physical weapons to fight, but we have to use the spiritual weapons. These are explained in the same bible chapter, Ephesians 6:10-18, which explains the armor of God. Verse 11 says put on the full armor of God, so that you can take a stand against the devil's schemes. The armor includes the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (word of God). Basically, by attaching yourself and aligning with God, His truth, having faith, having peace, your righteousness and the word of God. You don't need to go look for some weapon, but what you have in Christ, is what will help you. Verse 18 reminds us of the last weapon, which is praying. Which is very important.
My life has been transformed by surrendering to God, allowing His will in my life. Also recognizing that these attacks (which you may mistake them for coincidences), need the intervention of God. On our own, we are weak, but with God, we move mountains. Partner with God in everything, He sees everything and He knows everything, both in the physical and in the spiritual rhelm, which help put us at ease. He cares for us.
