Being transformed into His image...

2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding  as in a mirror  the glory of the Lord,  are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory , just as  by the Spirit of the Lord . As we soak ourselves into the word of God, are being transformed into the same image of Christ by the Holy Spirit  that lives in us. God created us in His image, though as humans our mindset got conditioned into the world by the world, through laws and the approach of the society. However, as we encounter the revelations that God brings through His word, our minds are being renewed and transformed into the image of God. Romans 12:2 says that we must not conform to the world, but be transformed by renewing our minds so that we may discern the will of God. The time you spend reading the word of God, is never wasted. That is the time you bond with   the Lord , discovering His will for you. It is time well spent and truly knowing who God says you are (by ...

Angels are surrounding you...

Image
Psalm 91:11  For He will command His angels concerning you  to guard you in all your ways. A wonderful promise from the Lord that He will command His angels, to be in charge of us, to guard and protect us at all times. Protection is a promise from the Lord, because  He cares so much. He did promise never to leave us nor forsake us. God is our protector, our refugee and our hiding place.  2 Kings 6:16 says: " And he answered, “Fear not, for they that are with us are more than they that are with them.” These were the words of prophet Elisha when the servant discovered that the enemy was about to attack them, but Elisha was confident that they would   defeat  them as he knew that they were not alone. He prayed to God to open the servant's eyes to see those angels that were with them, and the servant was amazed by what he saw. This is the same with us, we may not see the angels surrounding us, ready to defeat the enemy at all times, but we must know that...

He prepares the table for you

Image
Psalm 23:5   You prepare a table  before me  in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil;  my cup   overflows. When it is your time, it is your time. No man, no hater, no devil can stop what God does for you. Psalm 23:5 tells us that the Lord will prepare a table for you. This is elevation from the Most High, a statement that He makes about His anointed , that this is my child, in whom I am well pleased. Remember the verse that says touch not my anointed , in Psalm 105:15? When the Lord prepares the table, He is basically saying to the enemy, I told you not to mess with my own! Romans 8 says that when we are in Christ, we share in Christ's suffering, where we'll go through trials and stuff. But what the bible further says, is that  because we suffer with Christ, we will also share in His glory. Therefore, when God blesses you, in front of those that looked down on you, laughed  and gossiped about you, rejoice! The Lord will be givi...

God wants you to prosper in everyway

Image
3 John 2:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. The truth is that, God desires to see His children prosper in everything and in good health. When you think about it, God is unable to fully use us for His will, when we are ill. Strength is vital in continuing  doing good and being a blessing to others. Therefore, He wishes for us to be in good health. Furthermore, He doesn't want only our soul to prosper , well nourished and satisfied, but everything  else in our lives to prosper as well. Having a soul that prospers, with a mind that is unhealthy, not much can be achieved. Doubt and fear might creep in. Self-sabotage can easily take place. Therefore, in as much as we feed our souls with what it needs- the word of God, we also need to take care of our physical bodies, out emotional well being and our mental state. God is the creator of humanity, He knows us inside out. Therefore, anything that is out of order, sho...

Give your worries to Him...

1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. God knew that life will never be smooth-sailing all the way, everyday. He knew that there will be turmoil, storms and mountains in front of us, in some seasons of our lives. Which is why He told us in advance that WHEN not if, but when we come across those challenges, and they start worrying us, we should call on Him. We must bring them to Him through prayer. God understands that we might not be able to fight-off everything ourselves, in our own strength, which is why He gave us an invitation to call on Him. Also, it is in a way, strategic that we wouldn't rely on ourselves, for everything, but we would depend on Him. Philippians  4:6-7 also emphasizes this point that we must not be anxious for anything, but through prayer bring our petition to God, with thanksgiving. God wants us to always have a grateful heart, no matter the circumstance. There should be atleast one thing that we...

Our great Shepherd is awesome

Image
Psalm 23:1-2  The  Lord   is my Shepherd ,   I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, H e leads me beside quiet waters... We have a great Shepherd indeed, one that would give up everything for us. Which is why this verse reminds us, or reveals to us that we lack nothing, as we have everything  in Christ. The verse further tells us that He makes us lie down in green pastures and lead us in quiet waters, this gives a picture of rest, complete  rest in Him, where we worry about nothing, everything taken care of. Green pastures gives a a picture of abundance, provision and rest. That is what the Lord wants for us. Quiet waters gives a picture of calm, no turmoil, no stress, no anxiety just complete rest.  Obviously, if you don't have anyone watching over you, taking care of your business and your future, it is understandable that you would lie awake at night , stressed about all sorts of things, possible  break-in, bankruptc...

Tie loyalty and faithfulness around your neck, always!

Image
Proverbs 3:3  Never let go of loyalty and faithfulness. Tie them around your neck; write them on your heart. In the times that we are live in, where corruption and shady dealings are the order of the day, the Lord still calls on us to be loyal and faithful. These are so important, the Lord urges us to tie them around our necks and write them on our hearts This means, wherever we may be, whatever we may be doing, we are expected to continue being loyal and faithful; no matter the deal being big or small, be loyal and stay faithful.  I see this as a test from the Lord, where He would allow temptations to come in different ways, to see if we would be moved by an attractive shady deal. If all else fails, and we don't know what is right and what is wrong, God is just a "phone call" away. He expects us to rely on Him. Remember, He did say that in our weaknesses, He is strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 says: " That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight  in weaknesses, in insults, ...
