God, our Creator is faithful

Image
Isaiah 40:28 Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. Indeed,  there is none like Him. He is the Creator of the entire universe, the heaven and earth, every creature and being that we see. He is the great Orchestrator, that has put everything together. He is everlasting, God of yesterday is still God today and forever more. He remains constant in His love for us, He remains faithful to His promises, and He remains true to His word. He is the great I am, the Almighty! Praise Him when you go through difficulties and when times are good. Praise Him when you are well and when you are not because He remains with you through it all. His faithfulness endures forever. May this be a reminder to you that our Heavenly Father never grows weak nor weary, He never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4-5). Which is why He remains our only hope, where we

The Lord is guarding us...

Image
2 Thessalonians 3:3   But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. The Lord keeps His promises, He is not man that He should lie, that is according to  Numbers 23:19. Therefore, because He has promised to guard and protect us from the devil, that is exactly what He will do. God loves us and that is why the devil is always chasing after us, to keep us from fulfilling the plans of God here on earth. Which is why God is so protective of His children and would fight for them. This reminds me of the victory God brought the Israelites, when they were under attach, in 2 Chronicles 20 and God told them to stand still and see the victory. They didn't have to fight they just took their position as God instructed and the enemy was defeated by the confusion and chaos that caused them to fight against themselves. Similar to when they were leaving Egypt, and God parted the red sea for them to walk through and closed in the water that drowned all the Egyptians

Expect to see the goodness of the Lord here on earth...

1 Peter 1:3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation. It is indeed by God's grace that we are born again and can have a great expectation of the life God promised. It is through the sacrifice that God made of sending His beloved Son to the cross, who defeated  the kingdom of darkness and rose again in three days. This has  secured us life after  death. It has given us hope and an expectation of a wonderful relationship with our Father who loves and cares for us so much. Through  this act we are healed and victorious. We are above all evil principalities and seated in the Heavenly  Places with the devil as our footstool. We have been given the authority to trample over  the scorpions and snakes, as alluded to in Luke 10:19. This shows us that God has bestowed  great power on us, that we should use to rebuke the evil principalities a

The Holy Spirit will teach and remind you!

Image
John 14:26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as My representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. This is so comforting, that the Holy Spirit will teach us and remind us of everything. I used to worry that I'll forget some critical   things  that God has  revealed  to me through the scriptures, something that could be significant , but now hearing that actually  the Holy Spirit will  remind us, takes a whole load off my shoulders . The truth is, we can never know everything (or remember everything), but having the Holy Spirit who'll be there to remind us what God told us, at the right time, is amazing. Also, the fact that the Holy Spirit will teach us as we go, is great too. We are never perfect, we are work-in-progress, that's why we lean on the Lord so much, because on our own we cannot  do it. Now, knowing that the Holy Spirit will teach me everything I need to know and pay attention to, is a

The impact of Jesus on humanity

Image
Matthew 4:23 Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And He healed every kind of disease and illness. Whilst Jesus was still here on earth, He was quite fruitful, impactful when you look  at all that He did. He went about introducing the kingdom of God, as the kingdom of love and grace (not of war). He preached of the good news about the love of God and life in eternity. He further healed people along the way, performing miracles and saving people's lives. During His time on earth, He displayed a lot of compassion, love and generosity, where we see this in the many stories of Him healing the sick, opening blind eyes, advocating for fairness where people acted too righteous. He taught us how much of a provider God is, our source of everything. Source of life, health, prosperity, source of joy, hope and so much more. All that is expected of us, is to believe. Believe that Jesus is alive, that He live

Allow the will of God in your life!

Image
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. This is part of the prayer that Jesus taught us; this showing the importance for us to surrender to the will of God. Calling for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, shows us that God is in control, rightfully so, as the Creator of heaven and earth. It is sometimes not easy to let go and allow God to be in control, but it is the way it should be, as what matters are His plans, which spans from generation to generation; whilst our plans may just be limited to a few years or decades at most. Therefore, we ought to surrender our will and plans to His capable hands and allow Him to do as He sees fit. This is possible when you realize how powerful, majestic  and sovereign God is. Realizing that He is faithful and can be trusted. These facts make  it easy, as you know He has your best interest at heart. Therefore, like Proverbs 16 says, bring your plans to God and ask Him to b

Our hope is in the Lord...

Image
Psalm 39:7 And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in You. The Lord is dependable, we can put our trust in Him as He is faithful. This is where we put our hope, in Christ Jesus whom we know is the same yesterday, today and forever more, as declared in the book of Hebrews 13:8. So, if we know that God is the same and will never go back on His word (Numbers 23:19), then we can hold on to His word and trust that it shall be as He said. Thus, we remember what God said and did for us, as reference for the future. Him sending His one and only Beloved Son to the cross to die for us because of His love for us, then we can trust that His love for us will never change, He will always love us. In this case, when we are faced with difficulties, it doesn't cross our minds that God could be the one sending bad things to us, because of His love for us. But we recognize that the devil could be sending those things and God allowed them to happen. It is for that reason that we would h

Choose the narrow gate to heaven!

Image
Matthew 7:13-14 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.  But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. This is the truth about life. Only through a narrow gate, that we can enter the kingdom of God. This verse tells us that the gate to hell, is wide and open, most people choose it; whilst the gate to heaven, the kingdom of God, is narrow and only a few choose it. This is because with the gate to hell, everything goes, people do as they please, they do whatever they like, whether it is right or wrong, that does not matter. Whilst, to remain in the kingdom of God, you basically have to submit your life to your Creator, and give Him the right of way when it comes to your life. This is when you surrender your will and wishes for His, because  you understand that He knows better and as our Creator, we understand that He has our best intere

Keep asking, seeking and knocking. Breakthrough is here...

Image
Matthew 7:7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." God doesn't want you to ask once and then give up, but He would like to see you persistent on that which you ask and believe Him for. If we keep asking, or seeking or knocking on the doors, certainly there will be an answer. It may not be on the 1st door you knocked at, but surely one of them will open. The chosen one for you, will open when the time is right. God is teaching us a principle of being patient, believing Him for our needs and future, which allows Him to do it for us. I heard that most of  the time, our requests are not answered the first time or immediately because God has to prepare us for what we are asking for, also at times, God has to clear the path for us to receive it. At times even purge us to be in a right state to receive that. That may take time but eventually it will come through. The keep aski

God will provide generously for you!

Image
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. I receive this word, in Jesus Mighty Name! Do you believe it? Receive it with me...God says He will provide for all our needs, so much that we will have plenty left over to share with others; it is awesome! God never gives instructions without making a way. R emember  in Genesis 12 :1-2 He told us (as descendants  of Abraham) that we will be blessed to be a blessing to others. This means, God can't expect us to be a blessing to others if we ourselves are not blessed or  having enough. This means He will bless us, so that we can become a blessing to others. This is confirmed in Philippians  4:19 (ESV) that says: " And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Therefore, we need not have to worry about how we are going to meet our needs, the Lord has confirmed that He will su

The skies displays our Father's craftmanship!

Image
Psalm 19:1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship. God is the creator of heaven and earth, which is all so powerful and it leaves us in awe! Our minds can't even comprehend what this means but as we draw near to Christ and see His miracles, it is then that we start to understand His mighty power to do all things. Even detail in every creation, proves His craftmanship, that  indeed He is excellence! Everything He does, has no flaws or shortcomings, instead it works in harmony with everything is supposed to. Its  purpose leaves us in awe of His thoughts, which shows that He pays attention to everything. This is what we should aspire to, God commanded us in the book of Genesis that now that He has created everything, we need to take dominion and take care of everything, He gave us the power to rule every bird, fish, and every creature on the earth (Genesis 1:26-29). This gives us an opportunity to be creative and use our skills and abilities to nur

Endure the discipline, it is worth it...

Image
Hebrews 12:11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Absolutely  true. On our day-to-day, any type of discipline, earthly or even by our Heavenly Father, is not nice, not pleasant at that time as it could mean hard work, going an extra mile, keeping away from doing certain thing etc. This I'm actually undergoing, where I'm meant to carry activities of another, just to protect the brand. This at a time, is not nice as it means working twice as hard, working longer hours and getting feedback which leads to rework etc. However, after reading this verse, I realized that it is actually what  I'm going through now, but when I look at the benefits of having done this, it is beautiful. This will mean growth, expanding skills and to be commended to having stepped up to the plate. So, don't focus on the feeling that you get when you are grilled. Remember

Jesus says, give up your life to save it!

Image
Mark 8:35 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. In this passage, Jesus is giving us a choice, whether to hang on to our old life and insist on the direction we initially had in mind or will we surrender our life to Him, for His glory and honour. The right way is to give up our lives to Christ as the bible tells us that we will have to carry our own crosses and follow Jesus. That is Matthew 16:24 and it says: " Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If any of you wants to be My follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow Me." We do this because we trust Him, He is the truth, the way and the life (John 14:6). Therefore, we give up our own ways and thoughts for His, because we don't know any better, but He does. He is the way, He is the truth and He is the life. If you feel you are living a life in the dark, you then need to seek where the li

God says: love one another deeply...

Image
1 Peter 4:8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. This is the instruction from the Lord, to love one another, deeply. It is not surprising that God would emphasize the issue of love, as the bible in 1 John 4 tells us that God is love. It is in His nature, it is His character,  and it is His wish to see Hs children loving one another as He loves His children. There was a Love Campaign that we've recently concluded at church, which was the theme for about 5-6 weeks, where each week we looked at what God tells us about love. What I've learned is that God desires for us to love Him with everything we are; in addition, He wants us to love one another. This one another, includes even our enemies, people who are against us; however, God tells us that we should love them regardless. The verse for today has just  shown that with us loving even the people that we may regard as most difficult to love, there's a possibil

Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

Image
Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through. Basically,  giving credit where it is due, and by so doing, we give Him the glory and honour that He deserves. The second thing   that   we  ought to do, is to testify of His goodness in our lives. Us sharing of what we have seen in our lives God doing, can give someon

The Lord is good!!!

Image
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him! The Lord is good indeed! This is from the evidence that we have seen in our lives, by taking refuge in Him. He is our hiding place, in time of need. Similarly, to the bible stories we read about, we have come to see the goodness of the Lord in our lives, for ourselves. This may not be in a dramatic way as what Daniel in the bible experienced for example, where he was put in the lion's den and God saved him, but certainly when we look closely in our lives, we can see the traces of God's favour at play. Personally, I have seen God come through for me on a number of occasions , providing healing to me and my family members, Him making a way when finances have run dry, Him providing an open door in a form of a job and so much more. In fact, when I trace back my life, from birth till now, I see the favour of God in such a way that it leaves me in tears of how He loves me and how He came th

You are urged to have the same attitude as Christ...

Image
Philippians 2:5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Jesus as our model, we must look up to Him on how we should lead this life we are given. Sometimes society  puts pressure on us, as Christians, followers of Christ on certain standards and expectations. That is a worldly thing,  and we must never fall for that trap (of pleasing people). Our main goal  is to please the Lord, who is our Judge and whom we will answer to, one day. Therefore, look at what Jesus did and do your best to live a life that is in that direction. We can never be Him, but we can try to live a life that mimics those principles, and I believe God will reward effort. Some of the key principles of Christ, was that He never lived to please people, in fact He would go against those "religious" people and do what is right. An example that comes to mind was when the Pharisees  wanted to see if Jesus would heal someone on Sabath and Jesus knew this and He did what was right, which was healing

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. However, God understands that we are not perfect (and we should never pressurize ourselves to be perfect), but with the guidance we have, we know that where we fall short, we can run to the Lord without guilt or shame, knowing that He is our Father who loves us and is willing to help us every step of t

Go and tell of the Good News...

Image
Mark 16:15 And then He told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone." This was Jesus' instructions  to His disciples, to go into the world and preach the Good News. The good news referring to Christ, our Saviour who came to die for our sins. And that everyone should access this beautiful gift by confessing with their mouths that Jesus is Lord. That people should turn from their wicked ways and receive the grace of God. What we need to notice is that this instruction is also applicable to us, we are Jesus' disciples,  and we are discharged by God to go and let people know of this  wonderful news, so that they too, may be saved and get access to life in eternity. This is where we rely more on the Holy Spirit to help us do exactly that, because on our own strength, we won't have the necessary wisdom  and ability to do that. Also, God gets to use us for His glory, in different ways. We do not only preach the gospel from the pulpit, but in the spa

God's faithful love for you never ends!

Image
Lamentations 3:22-23 The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease.  Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. The faithful love of God never ends, His mercies never stop  and is available to us every single day. What this means, is that no matter how off-track we may find ourselves to be from what God has called us to be, He never stop loving us and His mercy is sufficient  that when we finally wake up from our foolish ways, He welcomes us with open  arms (like the prodigal son). In fact, the bible tells us that whilst we were sinners, Jesus was sacrificed for us, because of God's faithful love towards us. This is found in Romans 5:8 and says : " But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." All is required of us, is to realize this great love and run towards Him. We need to change how we see God, from an angry Father, to ae reflection of Him as a loving, kind, merciful, com

Use the authority God gave you to set them free...

Image
2 Corinthians 10:5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. Jesus has given us the authority  to trample over scorpions and snakes as indicated in the book of Luke 10:19 that says: " Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you." This shows that we have the authority to pray for each other, to be set free from the bondages that keeps people from knowing Christ, including sin, shame, guilt, addictions etc. However, by the power of the name of Jesus, we have the authority to pray freedom for them to be set free. We do this so that their eyes may be opened to see the love of Christ, His presence and mercy for them. When people don't realize that God is ready and waiting to receive and embrace them, like in the story of the prodigal son, they are bound to remain and stay away du

The Lord will guide you on the best path for your life!!!

Image
Psalm 32:8 The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Oh praise the Lord, He is faithful! He says He will guide you along the best path for your life, isn't it that amazing? This is what we ask for, for His guidance on the best path for this life. When you consider the number of choices we are faced with in life, it can be overwhelming and scary, because one mistake, you could be taking a wrong turn that will lead to disaster, whether with career choices, business partners, jobs, partners etc. However, with such truths that the Lord is there to guide us on the best path, it is so comforting and heartwarming.  Furthermore, the Lord says He will advise you and watch over you. Awesome! With His advice  on your life, you are set to make the best decisions and your choices will be fruitful. In addition, Him watching over you , ensures that you are protected no matter what, that you are provided for and are taken care of.
